High-Shear Emulsifier

A high shear emulsifier is an efficient, fast, and uniform method of distributing one or more phases into another continuous phase, which is usually immiscible with each other. Due to the high shear tangent velocity generated by the high-speed rotation of the rotor and the strong kinetic energy brought by high-frequency mechanical effects, the material is subjected to strong mechanical and hydraulic shear, centrifugal extrusion, liquid layer friction, impact tearing, and turbulence in the narrow gap between the stator and rotor. As a result, the immiscible solid phase, liquid phase, and gas phase are instantly uniformly and finely dispersed and emulsified under the joint action of corresponding mature processes and appropriate additives. After high-frequency cycling, stable high-quality products are finally obtained.

working principle

Working Principle:The main working components consist of stator and rotor. The rotor generates a strong centrifugal force field through the high-speed rotation of the blades, forming a strong negative pressure zone at the center of the rotor. A mixture of liquid or solid-liquid is sucked in from the center of the rotor, and under the action of centrifugal force, the material diffuses from the center to the surrounding areas. During the diffusion process, the material is stirred by the blades and sheared in the narrow gap between the blade end face and the inner side of the stator gear ring. Then it enters the narrow gap between the inner ring teeth and the fixed teeth. Under the action of mechanical force and fluid dynamics effects, it generates a large amount of shear, friction, impact, and mutual collision and friction between materials, causing dispersed particles or droplets to be broken. The material undergoes repeated cycles of depolymerization, dispersion, homogenization, refinement, and shearing under appropriate emulsifiers and mature processes for a certain period of time to produce a stable emulsion.
