The positive pressure dilute phase pneumatic conveying system can achieve pipeline dust-free conveying through two types of gas sources. The gas source is provided by Roots blower or air compressor respectively, but Roots blower is still widely used as the gas source for most working conditions. Roots blower uses gas pressure below 1kg/c ㎡ and adopts positive pressure (pressure feeding) to push materials through the entire conveyor line at a high speed. Therefore, this conveying method is called low-pressure high-speed system, which has a high gas material ratio.
Using a Roots blower as the power source and air or nitrogen as the conveying medium, the material is dispersed and suspended in the pipeline at a high speed, with a conveying distance of several hundred meters. At the beginning of the system, there is an acceleration of about 10m/s, and at the end, it can reach a high speed of 30m/s, resulting in a high airflow velocity. The initial pressure of the conveying pipeline is generally lower than 0.06Mpa, while the end pressure is basically close to atmospheric pressure.
